Save the Date!

Under the breathless headline “‘Adlai Stevenson’s Lasting Legacy’ panel to feature Adlai Stevenson III, Sept. 24”, Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School offers details of a compelling program you won’t want to miss in addition to wrapping up this week’s “Not a Parody” prize:

A panel discussion titled “Adlai Stevenson’s Lasting Legacy,” will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall, on the Princeton University campus. Panel discussants include “Adlai Stevenson’s Lasting Legacy” co-authors John Brademas, President Emeritus of New York University and former executive assistant to Adlai Stevenson; James Goodby, Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution; Alvin Liebling, retired Senior U.S. Administrative Law Judge of Illinois and editor of “Adlai Stevenson’s Lasting Legacy;” Adele Simmons, President of the Global Philanthropy Partnership and Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum; Adlai E. Stevenson III, former U.S. Senator, Illinois; and William J. vanden Heuvel, former ambassador to the UN. The discussion will be moderated by Henry Bienen, President of Northwestern University.

Does that sound like fun or what? And get this – the event is free, open to the public and will be followed by a book signing! (I guess they put the kibosh on the wet t-shirt contest, which probably showed good judgment.) While I’ll be doing my laundry that afternoon, I thank the Wilson School for creating such an interesting program.
