NEW YORK (AP) — Power has been restored to more than one thousand customers in Queens following a manhole and power line fire.
A spokesman says more than 1,100 Con Edison customers who lost power at 6 a.m. Thursday had it restored about 2 hours later.
Con Edison and fire department officials say the outage was caused after 2 manholes and overhead power lines caught fire at 95th Avenue near 96th Street in Woodhaven.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the two were related.
The cause is under investigation.
