One of many signs spotted during the March for Our Lives rally on Saturday attacked Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., for being a “kid killer” and a bad Catholic.
“We call BS,” said the sign, spotted by Stephen Gutowski of the Washington Free Beacon on Saturday.
The sign also appeared to have what Gutowski called a “blood cross” on Rubio’s forehead, and several hashtags, including “#KidKiller,” “AshBloodyWednesday,” and “NRAbitch.”

Rubio was a target throughout the day during the main event in Washington, D.C., with speakers torching his ties to the National Rifle Association and strong support of the Second Amendment. Many of the speakers were student survivors from a high school in Parkland, Fla., where a mass shooting last month took 17 lives.
In a statement Saturday, Rubio commended the demonstrators for exercising their First Amendment rights, but advocated for an openness to compromise because “many other Americans do not support a gun ban.”
“And finding common ground is what it will take to pass our red flag law so we can take guns away from dangerous people,” he said.
