Trump: Will Bill Clinton bring the ‘energizer’ to White House?

Donald Trump mocked Bill Clinton Friday morning by openly wondering if Clinton would bring the “energizer” back with him to Washington, referring to a woman from Chappaqua who reportedly had an affair with the former president.

Trump, referring to the Secret Service code name for Clinton’s alleged mistress, took the quick shot at the former president during an appearance on “Fox and Friends” Friday morning. He was reacting to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who said she would put her husband in charge of the economy if she wins.

“I don’t know. Maybe he’ll bring the energizer with him,” Trump said before hitting the former president for signing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Soon after, co-host Steve Doocy asked the presumptive GOP nominee if the former secretary is only planning to put him in charge of the economy because people “like him more than they like her.

“Well, maybe she’s saying that or maybe she just wants him around the White House so she can keep her eye on him,” Trump said.

Trump’s comments come two days after he said that the 42nd president committed “rape” as part of his sexual improprieties. His remark came when pressed by Fox News’ Sean Hannity over the recent New York Times story on Trump’s history with women, which Hannity used as a chance to talk about Clinton’s past.

“In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will,” Hannity said.

“And rape,” Trump responded.

Trump also made mention to the “energizer” in a tweet Tuesday, asking if he’ll be bringing her back to Washington if his wife wins.
