Theresa May suspends campaign for re-election after Manchester bombing

British Prime Minister Theresa May will suspend her campaign for re-election following a suicide bombing at a pop concert in Manchester, England, late Monday evening.

Conservative Party members confirmed her pausing the campaign a little more than two weeks ahead of the June 8 election.

May called the incident at Manchester Arena an “appalling terrorist attack.”

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn canceled an upcoming campaign visit to Gibraltar, but has not formally suspended his campaign.
