EAST PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in East Peoria have identified the gunman who shot and killed two people at a sports bar before he was killed by an off-duty law-enforcement officer.
The (Peoria) Journal Star reports that (bit.ly/1siERlp) 40-year-old Jason A. Moore of Creve Coeur walked into The Fifth Quarter Bar and Pizzeria Saturday night and shot his ex-wife and another man in the head.
Thirty-three-year-old Lori A. Moore of Morton and 36-year-old Lance E. Griffel of Peoria died OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Police would not identify the off-duty officer who then shot and killed Jason Moore or where the officer worked.
Many in the bar were attending a high school class reunion, and police say more than 100 witnesses provided information.
