LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A copyright claim has led to withdrawal of a YouTube video of a statewide sing-along shot for Michigan’s tourism agency.
The Pure Michigan agency based the video on its 50-city, one-week August road trip to promote Michigan as a place to visit, live, work and create a business.
Each scene shows people singing different verses of “The Pure Michigan Statewide Singalong,” whose lyrics say “it’s always a good time” to be in Michigan.
But on Sunday, the YouTube link carried a statement in place of the video.
The Pure Michigan website still offers a viewing of the video, but clicking the link connects to the same YouTube message: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Songs Music Publishing.”
