A police chief in Georgia was suspended for 10 days on Thursday for allegedly fostering a hostile work environment with sexual harassment.
Lawrenceville Police Chief Tim Wallis was suspended without pay following an investigation into his actions, city officials said in a statement.
The assistant chief of the Lawrenceville Police Department will also undergo verbal counseling, according to a report.
“I was disturbed by the findings of the investigation and issued penalties to the appropriate employees, including a requirement for individual training,” Lawrenceville City Manager Chuck Warbington said.

The investigation into Wallis was launched in October to review allegations of sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, and improper use of city property, the report noted.
The decision to reprimand Wallis and the assistant chief was made last week, city officials said.
Exact details surrounding the allegations have not been confirmed, and Wallis has categorically denied the accusations against him.
