Mike Pence headed to Eastern Europe on Baltic tour

Vice President Mike Pence will travel to three countries in Eastern Europe in late July, the White House announced Thursday.

Pence’s trip to Tallinn, Estonia; Tbilisi, Georgia; and Podgorica, Montenegro will span July 30 to Aug. 2.

The former Indiana governor will first stop in Estonia, where he will meet with Prime Minister Juri Ratas and other officials. Pence will also sit down with Baltic leaders, President Kersti Kaljulaid of Estonia, President Raimonds Vejonis of Latvia, and President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania.

While in Georgia, Pence will visit with President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili. He will also see U.S. and Georgian troops participating in the Noble Partner exercise.

In Montenegro, Pence will meet with Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic and Prime Minister Duško Markovic, and talk with Western Balkan leaders in an Adriatic Charter Summit.
