Kelly Sadler, who served at the White House as special assistant to the president and made disparaging remarks about Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., no longer works for the Trump administration, according to a Tuesday report.
Three sources told CNN that Sadler, who remained on staff for weeks following the controversial remark, was out at the White House.
White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah confirmed CNN’s report that Sadler is “no longer employed within the Executive Office of the President,” later Thursday evening.
The Trump aide received heavy criticism after she told fellow White House communication staffers that McCain’s vote on then-CIA director nominee Gina Haspel didn’t matter because “he’s dying anyway.”
