DNC Hosts 'Obama Shabbat'

The Democratic National Committee is hosting an “Obama Shabbat” tonight at its Washington, D.C. headquarters to observe the Jewish sabbath.

“Please join us for a Kabbalat Shabbat service lead by Sixth and I’s Rabbi Shira Stutman,” reads an advertisement for the event on BarackObama.com. “Services will be followed by a speech from the Obama Campaign’s National Jewish Outreach Director Ira Forman as well as Kiddush and a light Shabbat dinner. With just 73 days to go until the election, this will be a great opportunity for our community to gather together, celebrate Shabbat, and organize to reelect President Obama.”
