Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, an architect of President Trump’s “nationalist” political and policy strategy believes that an upcoming movie portrays him negatively.
The film, “The Brink,” is coming to theaters March 29, and, despite Bannon’s cooperation with filmakers, some feel it paints a “damaging portrait” of the former Trump strategist.
“I’m gonna get so crushed in this film,” Bannon said in the trailer for the film, adding later that he believes he is doing the “Lord’s work.”
The former Breitbart News head also said that he “hated every second” he was at the White House, where he served for the first seven months of Trump’s presidency.
“If I had not come on as CEO of the campaign, Trump would not have won,” Bannon says in a preview of the film, referencing his time on the final months of Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The movie is a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most prominent — and divisive — figures in the Trump administration, who critics have labeled a fringe figure on the far-right of American politics.
The trailer says the film takes a “look behind the curtain of the far right.”
“Every nationalist party that looks viable, I’m trying to help,” Bannon said in the preview of the film, which is being screened in Washington, D.C., Tuesday.
“What did I just watch? Are you now consulting for the National Rally Party?” a woman off-camera asks of Bannon.
“What’s your point?” Bannon says.
