Is Mel Gibson already starting a family with his new girlfriend? The actor’s wife of 29 years, Robyn, filed for divorce just weeks ago — but she’s reportedly telling pals that his mistress is pregnant.
The “Braveheart” star recently made his red-carpet debut with Oksana Grigorieva, a Russian singer signed to his label, and it sounds like things are getting serious fast.
“His wife, Robyn, is telling all her friends that Oksana is pregnant with Mel’s baby,” a source reportedly told Life & Style.
“Robyn really doesn’t understand why he wants another child at his age, but she says she knows the woman is pregnant. I get the impression Robyn confronted Mel about it, and he admitted it.”
And the National Enquirer claims, “In late April, Mel gathered his children at the family home in Malibu and broke the news that Oksana is pregnant, and he expects them to accept the baby as a new sibling. The pregnancy was unplanned.”
Let’s just point out that Mel already has seven — yes, seven — children with Robyn. Your move, Brangelina.
Paula: Backtracking?
Now that’s odd. After Ladies’ Home Journal published a cover story in which she allegedly confessed to painkiller addiction and rehab, Paula Abdul says it was all made up.
“I want to make it perfectly clear to everyone that I have never been addicted to or abused drugs in my life,” the “American Idol” judge asserted in a statement. “I have never been drunk. I have never entered a rehab or detox treatment center.”
Of the facility where she was said to have spent 30 days, but now says she spent only three, Paula maintains that “I spent time hiking, bicycling, doing yoga and enjoying the spa. As anyone who has visited the La Costa Resort knows, it is a luxury hotel, not a rehab facility.”
The magazine stands by its story. So … you make the call.
Brooke knows best?
Brooke Hogan isn’t happy about her mom dating a guy her own age — as in Brooke’s own age — but it’s not even the cougar factor that’s her main beef with the relationship.
“I think everyone in America knows why I won’t accept Charlie,” Brooke tells OK! of her former classmate being mom Linda’s rebound beau. “But what people don’t know is that he’s a bad influence on her. She’s not staying as healthy as she should be. He’s 19, he can party his ass off. She’s 48.”
“It’s not because of his age. If he were 5 years old and a good influence on her then that would better. But I’m just not happy with the situation because of their poor judgment — with what they do,” the “Brooke Knows Best” star explains. “I know there are things that could damage her health and make her get old really quick.”
So, she continues, “in order for me to keep my sanity, I have to love her from afar. We are totally different women. I’m straight-laced, don’t do drugs, stick to my regimen.”
Hmmm. Should we be reading something between the lines here?
Katy’s prank
Katy Perry pulled a Britney — sort of. The singer did have a quickie Vegas wedding, but unlike Brit’s, it was a joke. (Well, an intentional joke.)
Explaining the theme of her new video, ‘Waking Up in Vegas,’ Katy tells Popeater.com how, at 21, she and her then-beau punked her family.
“We went to Vegas on a whim and we decided to get fake married,” she recalls. “We took all the pictures with the minister, with the fake cake, in the fake chapel, and got a fake marriage certificate. We went and bought a wedding dress and a suit at a thrift store, and scanned the pictures and the certificate to my family members, my manager at the time [and] totally freaked the [heck] out of them.”
“It was the most hilarious, stupid prank I’ve ever pulled,” crows Katy, who adds that she still has “the wedding dress and the certificate.”
Wonder if that makes on-again beau Travis McCoy a little nervous.
