San Francisco Transit Website Promotes ‘Inauguration Day P*ssy March’

President-elect Trump is set to take office on January 20th. This week, the website of the city of San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit system listed an event marking the inauguration of the soon-to-be 45th president. The event is entitled “Inauguration Day P*ssy March.”

The description reads:

Obama’s service ends at Noon on Jan 20th. The organizer is going to take a walk up Market street to commemorate this, as a thank you for his service. As a silent protest, the organizer will be wearing a p*ssy protector.

Below is a screen capture of the announcement:

The announcement is cross-posted from sf.funcheap.com, a guide to inexpensive goings on in the San Francisco area, and the BART calendar is “powered by” the FunCheap site.

Although BART did not respond to requests for comment via Twitter and email, the listing was subsequently removed. The original link now returns the message, “You are not authorized to access this page,” but the event page is archived here as it appeared on Wednesday morning.

In the 1990s, President Bill Clinton’s indiscretions in office forced a generation of parents to explain previously taboo words to their children. The current generation of parents seems destined to face similar uncomfortable conversations during the era of Donald Trump.
