A 53-year-old Fairfax County man was killed early Sunday when his Harley Davidson motorcycle crashed into a turning car on Lee Highway, according to Fairfax County police.
Officials had been told a motorcyclist was traveling at a high speed along Lee Highway just before the 1 a.m. crash.
Fred Timothy Hall then struck a 2008 Toyota Camry from behind as it turned onto Lee Highway from Buckley’s Gate Manor, police said.
The 17-year-old driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries, but Hall was thrown from his bike and died at the scene. Police believe the motorcycle’s speed was a factor in the crash.
