President Trump’s son Eric Trump slammed George Conway — husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway — for showing “disrespect” toward his wife’s career and workplace.
“Of all the ugliness in politics, the utter disrespect George Conway shows toward his wife, her career, place of work, and everything she has fought SO hard to achieve, might top them all,” Eric Trump tweeted Monday evening. “@KellyannePolls is great person and frankly his actions are horrible.”

George Conway has been critical of President Trump and the Trump administration on numerous occasions. Earlier Monday, he retweeted Trump praising former campaign adviser Roger Stone for “essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about ‘President Trump.’” Stone’s inner circle has come under scrutiny by special counsel Robert Mueller as part of his Russia investigation.
Conway responded by saying, “File under ‘18 U.S.C. §§ 1503, 1512,’” a reference to U.S. laws related to witness tampering and obstruction of justice.
Last month, George Conway said in an interview with Yahoo News podcast “Skullduggery” that he declined accepting a job at the Justice Department in 2017 because he believed the administration was like a “shitshow in a dumpter fire.”
“I’m filling out the financial forms and it’s like — I forget what part time of year it was, it was like late April — man, I’m thinking. I’m watching this thing and, it’s like the administration is like a shitshow in a dumpster fire,” George Conway said. “And I’m like, ‘I don’t want to do that. I don’t know.’”
In the same interview, he admitted that Kellyanne Conway doesn’t seem to appreciate his public comments on Trump, but that they still agree on most policy issues.
“I don’t think she likes it,” George Conway said. “But I’ve told her, I don’t like the administration, so it’s even.”
“And the fact of the matter is, when it comes down to things we disagree about, we agree on most policy things. … So this is the one we really disagree about,” he said.
Kellyanne Conway has characterized her husband’s comments as “disrespectful.”
“I feel there’s a part of him that thinks I chose Donald Trump over him,” Kellyanne Conway said in an interview with the Washington Post. “Which is ridiculous. One is my work and one is my marriage.”
