Larry Kudlow, President Trump’s chief economic adviser, has been released from the hospital after suffering a heart attack Monday, the White House announced.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement that Kudlow was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., on Wednesday.
“Doctors say Larry’s recovery is going very well,” Sanders said. “The president and the administration are happy Larry is back home and look forward to seeing him back to work soon.”
Trump announced via Twitter from Singapore earlier this week that Kudlow was hospitalized after having a heart attack, which the White House later described as “very mild.”
Kudlow was tapped to lead the National Economic Council after Gary Cohn resigned from the post in March.
