Mark Zuckerberg hangs out with ‘friend’ Mayor Mark Buttieg on Facebook Live

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared with his “friend,” South Bend, Ind., Mayor Peter Buttieg, in a live stream video on Saturday.

“So I’ve been going around to different states for my personal challenge of the year, to see how different communities are working across the country. “Seeing how people are living and how they are thinking about their work and their hopes and challenges,” Zuckerberg said in a video taken by his phone. “It’s been really interesting so far.”

Buttieg, who was driving Zuckerberg around South Bend in a car, was asked to tell his “amazing” story and said he wanted to show Zuckerberg how his city, near the University of Notre Dame, is making an economic comeback.

The two also took questions from Facebook users.

Buttieg, one of the youngest mayors in America, ran an unsuccessful campaign to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee in 2017.
