Inmate’s death ruled a homicide after autopsy

The death of an inmate who died at the D.C. Jail has been ruled a homicide, according to District police.

Houston Quildon, 44, died in March 21 from injuries he suffered during an assault at the jail last September. Jail staff say that Quildon was assaulted in his sleep by his cell mate.

In March, while Quildon was still an inmate at the jail, he fell unconscious and was treated for low blood pressure. At first, Quildon’s death was determined to be the result of natural causes, but the case was ruled a homicide after the medical examiner reviewed medical records and toxicology reports.

Manassas woman charged with murder of husband

A Manassas woman was charged with murder Sunday after police discovered her husband’s body lying outside of an apartment complex. Police arrested Monica Pollard Lewis, 35, and have accused her of killing Perry Lewis, 40, at their apartment on Keara Court.

The separated couple got into a fight in the apartment on Saturday morning, said Erika Hernandez, a spokeswoman for the Prince William County Police Department. She then stabbed her husband in the chest, killing him, said police.

Hernandez said detectives would not release how Perry Lewis’ body got outside. A news release states that Monica Lewis “left the victim outside of the apartment.” — Eric Roper
