Nikki Haley charging $200,000 per speech

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is charging a hefty price for domestic speaking engagements.

Booking Haley to speak in the U.S. comes with a $200,000 price tag and the use of a private jet, CNBC reported Wednesday. Speaking engagements for Haley, a former South Carolina governor, outside of the U.S. could cost more.

The high price tag falls in the range of what former U.S. presidents, former first lady Michelle Obama, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have charged for such speeches.

Clinton’s critics during the 2016 presidential campaign used the high speaking fees to question whether she was influenced by special interests.

Haley has not ruled out a future run for office, though she has said she won’t run against President Trump in 2020.

Haley announced in October she’d be entering the private sector after spending 14 years working in public service. A public financial disclosure form showed Haley has accrued more than $1 million in debt.
