Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman is encouraging his supporters to sign a petition to get GOP challenger Dr. Mehmet Oz inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
Fetterman’s campaign created a petition to get him inducted into the state’s Hall of Fame, a nonprofit organization that honors the accomplishments of people from the area, in the latest dig toward Oz’s longtime New Jersey residency.

“We all know that Dr. Oz is so proud of being Jersey strong,” Fetterman said in a video message. “To honor Dr. Oz’s deep New Jersey roots, we thought it would be a great idea to start a petition and help him reach his dream of being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.”
Fetterman, the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, has made numerous attacks against Oz for his time in the Garden State, even calling on former Jersey Shore cast member Nicole “Snooki” LaValle to remind Oz of his ties to the state.
“Jersey will not forget you. I just want to let you know I will not forget you. And don’t worry because you’ll be back home in Jersey soon. This is only temporary, so good luck. You got this and Jersey loves you,” Snooki said.
Oz resided with his wife in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, for many years before running for the Senate seat in Pennsylvania. He then announced he had moved to Montgomery County in eastern Pennsylvania.
The former television personality has responded in kind by playing up Fetterman’s absence on the campaign trail, claiming that he has been “hiding from voters” and relied on “snarky” posts from “consultants.”
“He last week said he was fine. I haven’t heard from him since. And they’re focused on these snarky posts written by consultants, and no candidate, opposite either party, ought to be shielded from scrutiny,” Oz told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham.

Fetterman suffered a stroke days after his contested primary victory in May and has remained largely absent on the campaign trail.
The candidates will face off in the general election on Nov. 8.
