Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Friday called reports that the White House wants him to resign and is using the press to try to push him out “laughable.”
“The White House is saying they want you to resign. Can you just say something about how this is being handled?” a reporter asked Tillerson at the State Department.
“It’s laughable,” Tillerson said, moving his hands in a motion of disagreement. “It’s laughable.”
Tillerson met Friday morning with Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj.
