President Trump singled out Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, on Wednesday for her votes on healthcare Tuesday, and said she let down Republicans and people all around the country.

Murkowski and one other Republican senator, Susan Collins of Maine, were the only GOP senators to vote against a motion to start work on legislation to repeal parts of Obamacare.
Tuesday evening, Murkowski and eight other Republicans voted against an amendment that would have repealed and replaced parts of Obamacare.
The Senate will consider other healthcare-related amendments in the coming days before its August recess.
Murkowski shrugged off President Trump’s Twitter attack by saying she wasn’t concerned that it would hurt her re-election chances.
“I am in a position where I’m not looking to a re-election until 2022. That’s a long time away,” Murkowski told MSNBC. “Quite honestly, I don’t think it’s wise to be operating on a daily basis thinking about, what a statement or a response, that causes you to be fearful of your electoral prospects.”
Murkowski said she preferred to invest her time doing what she thought was best for her constituents.
“Every day shouldn’t be about campaigning, every day shouldn’t be about winning elections,” Murkowski said. “How about just doing a little bit of governing around here. That’s what I’m here for.”
