FORT DRUM, N.Y. (AP) — Traffic delays are expected on state Route 26 in northern New York during large-scale field training exercises at Fort Drum.
Military officials say the 10th Mountain Division’s training exercise, Operation Mountain Peak 14, runs from Sept. 29 through Oct. 9 and continues Oct. 27 through Nov. 7.
Drivers are likely to encounter heavy military traffic between state Route 3 and state Route 11 at various times during the two training periods. There could be longer than usual delays at stop signs and traffic lights.
