Anthony Scaramucci is ‘working on being the best person I can be’ after leaving White House

Anthony Scaramucci said in his first public comments since his removal he is going to work on being the “best person I can be” and offered well wishes to the new White House chief of staff, John Kelly.

“You know what I’m going to do next? I’m working on being the best person I can be, and I want chief of staff Kelly to have an unbelievable opportunity inside the White House,” Scaramucci, the newly ousted White House communications director, told TMZ as he was leaving the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday morning.

Scaramucci was removed from his position as White House communications director Monday at the request of Kelly, who was sworn in as the new chief of staff that morning.

His departure capped a hectic 10 days within the White House communications office. After Trump announced Scaramucci’s hiring late last month, White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned in protest.

Then, Scaramucci threatened to fire the entire White House staff to prevent future leaks, and accused former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure form to Politico.

On Thursday, Scaramucci gave a profanity-laced interview to the New Yorker, during which he insulted Priebus and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Scaramucci was subsequently removed from his position at the White House days later.

When asked whether he has any advice for the person who eventually succeeds him, Scaramucci said it wasn’t “appropriate for me to comment right now.”

Trump has yet to name a new White House communications director following Scaramucci’s ouster.

After his resignation, rumors swirled that Spicer would appear on ABC’s “Dancing with Stars” next season.

But don’t expect Scaramucci to join him.

“I don’t know how to dance,” he said.
