The mother of two Virginia Tech students wants to know how the man who massacred at least 32 people on campus Monday gained entry into her daughter’s dormitory.
The mother, who asked not to be identified, said she was concerned because her daughter, who lives on the second floor of West Ambler Johnston Hall — two floors below where the first incident began around 7:15 a.m. — was given little information about the shooting by a resident adviser. The girl, a freshman who did not hear the gunshots, was allowed to leave the dorm and walk to her first morning class.
