Tiffany Trump, the president’s second-youngest child, has graduated from law school.
“Congratulations to my daughter, Tiffany, on graduating from Georgetown Law,” President Trump tweeted on Wednesday. “Great student, great school. Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you Tiff!”
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, universities across the country had to sacrifice a traditional commencement ceremony this year.
Georgetown provided weekend video tributes and a virtual ceremony where degrees were conferred to its graduating Class of 2020.
Tiffany Trump’s mother, Marla Maples, wrote a congratulatory message on her Instagram account sharing her pride with all other parents celebrating their children’s accomplishments from a distance.
“This message is for my beloved daughter and 2020 Georgetown Law Graduate Tiffany whose commitment to humanity is shining so clear,” Maples wrote. “I love you with all my heart.”
Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law and wife of Eric Trump, also took to Instagram to write a message to her sister-in-law Tiffany.
“We are all SO proud of you!!!,” she wrote. “It’s almost bittersweet because, like so many other students out there, we couldn’t go to your graduation ceremony. We can’t all celebrate this momentous occasion with a party. We can’t even give [you] a congratulatory hug. But, for you and all the other graduates out there, all across this country, no one can ever take away your hard work, your dedication and that incredible diploma you earned. Congratulations to ALL the graduates out there!! “
