Mega Millions jackpot tops $1 billion after no winner Tuesday night

More than $1 billion is on the line for the Mega Millions lottery jackpot.

No one claimed Tuesday night’s winning numbers, setting the stage for Friday’s drawing of an estimated grand total of $1.02 billion.

Tuesday’s $830 million jackpot numbers were: 07-29-60-63-66, Mega Ball: 15.

The last time someone matched the game’s six selected winning numbers was April 15, meaning there have been 29 consecutive drawings without a winner.

While the prize’s amount has grown, the chances of winning remain the same: 1 in 302.5 million, according to a report.

Excitement surrounding the rising prize total prompted Raising Cane’s CEO Todd Graves to buy 50,000 Mega Millions tickets in the hopes of sharing the jackpot money with his employees.

“Buying 50,000 lottery tickets is harder than you think!” Graves said on Twitter.

At $2 a ticket, the chicken finger fast-food chain CEO spent at least $100,000.

Over the course of the game’s 20-year history, there have been two other billion-dollar jackpots. The world record remains $1.586 billion for a Powerball prize awarded in 2016.
