A battle over taco trucks erupted on Twitter Friday, after a Mexican-born Donald Trump supporter warned that a failure to block the influx of illegal immigrants would result “in taco trucks [on] every corner” in the United States.
The hashtag #TacosTrucksOnEveryCorner began trending on Twitter in response to Latinos for Trump co-founder Marco Gutierrez saying on MSNBC that his “culture is a dominant culture, and it’s imposing and it’s causing problems. If you don’t do something about it, you’re gonna have taco trucks [on] every corner.”
Several tweets playfully bashed Gutierrez for suggesting that being invaded by taco trucks would be anything less than idyllic.
Laugh now, but taco trucks are merely the gateway vehicle for chiimichanga vans. #TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner

Actor Tommy Chong, famous for his marijuana-themed sketches as half of the Cheech & Chong comedy duo, expressed his support for the quintessential stoner food.
Taco trucks are on every corner now in 2016. And its a great thing. #TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner

Others suggested that a pro-taco policy be adopted into each major party presidential candidate’s platform.

Another posted a short clip of a taco truck flying through the air over the impenetrable border wall Donald Trump has promised he would build if elected president to reach hungry Americans on the other side.
