The Rayburn House Office Building flooded on Tuesday after a burst pipe sent water cascading into the basement of the building, and even made it look like it was raining in the elevator banks.
Initially, heavy rain and thunderstorms over Washington, D.C., made it seem like Rayburn was simply missing a roof. However, it was reported that the flooding was caused by a major pipe malfunction. Several elevators are reportedly out-of-service and power is gone in part of the building.
Am told Rayburn waterfall is the result of a burst pipe. Water appears to be limited to halls/elevators/stairs. Not in mbr offices..yet

Congressional staffers were caught off guard, and started tweeting footage of the anomaly.
Bystanders didn’t pass up the opportunity to invoke the election as one Twitter user cleverly stated the excessive flooding might “wash out some of Hillary Clinton’s missing emails.”
Maybe all the water flooding into #Rayburn will wash out some of Hilary Clinton’s missing emails ?

Another suggested a “super committee” might have to be formed to handle the problem:
“Rayburn is flooding!”
“What do we do”
