The Iranian government released video of their military shooting down the unmanned RQ-4A Global Hawk drone.
The Iranians also show the alleged path of the drone, which they claim had entered their airspace. The United States maintains that the drone remained in international waters.

The Pentagon also released video the U.S. military had captured of the incident.

The video was shortly released after President Trump speculated that maybe the drone was brought down by mistake.
“Iran made a big mistake. This drone was in international waters, clearly, we have it all documented, it’s documented scientifically, not just words, and they made a very bad mistake,” Trump said, adding he thinks it was done by “somebody who was loose and stupid.”
