Two injured in shooting near convention center

A shooting in the area of the Washington Convention Center on Sunday afternoon left two 19-year-old men injured, neither critically. At 2:07 p.m., police responded to reports of an apparent drive-by shooting in the 1300 block of Seventh Street NW. Officers found one man with a gunshot wound to the upper chest and a second victim grazed in the buttocks. A green 2000 Dodge Intrepid that fled the scene later was found abandoned at Fourth and M streets NW. Anyone with information about the case should call police at 202-727-9099.
