The Biden administration has approved a fourth COVID-19 shot for those 50 and over, but it remains to be seen whether or not President Joe Biden will take advantage.
Both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are over age 50 and are now eligible for a fourth shot, but White House director of communications Kate Bedingfield said she wasn’t sure yet if either would do so.

“I can speak to the president, who will make this decision in consultation with his doctor,” she said. “Obviously, if his doctor recommends that he receive a fourth booster, then he would, but he’ll make that decision in consultation with his doctor.”
Bedingfield said she’d have to check regarding a fourth shot for Harris.
Biden received his first booster shot on camera in September. The FDA’s authorization is for a second booster shot at least four months after the first, meaning the president again checks off the criteria to get jabbed again.

The move has not come without controversy. Federal regulators decided to authorize booster shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines without convening a meeting of its panel of vaccine experts first, a move that has already angered healthcare experts skeptical of a fourth shot’s utility.
