Prosecutors have reached a plea deal with a former Prince George’s County police officer accused of being part of an illegal scheme to sell untaxed cigarettes, according to court records.
Richard Delabrer, 45, of Laurel, who is no longer with the police department, is set to appear in U.S. District Court May 25 before federal Judge Peter J. Messitte for a “plea agreement hearing,” the records state.
The details of the plea deal were not included in the documents.
Last week, another defendant in the case, Chun Chen, pleaded guilty in the same case. He’s the first defendant to plead guilty in the FBI’s corruption investigation into the county that has included the arrest of former County Executive Jack Johnson and his wife, Leslie Johsnon.
