Ron Perlman blasts Ron DeSantis as ‘Nazi pig’ for signing gender identity bill

Actor Ron Perlman had some choice words for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday, calling him a “f****** Nazi pig” for signing a bill expanding parental education rights and banning classroom instruction of gender identity and sexual orientation in kindergarten through third grade.

The Hollywood mainstay posted a short, profane video to social media to bash the Parental Rights in Education bill. He employed the use of the phrase “don’t say gay,” which is the name critics of the bill have ascribed to it despite the phrase not making an appearance in its text.

“Good morning, Gov. DeSantis. Ron here,” the actor began. “Um, ‘don’t say gay’? ‘Don’t say’ as the first two words in a sentence spoken by a political leader of a state in the United States of America?”

“Don’t say? Don’t f****** say, you f****** Nazi pig? Say! First Amendment — read about it. Then run for office, you piece of s***.”

“Read this sentence from the bill and tell me why you disagree with it,” one user responded, attaching text from the law.

“Reading is fundamental,” actor Dean Cain wrote.

“[Ron Perlman] is 100 percent correct. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is a Nazi pig and a POS! The @ACLU should be ALL OVER this BLATANT First Amendment violation!” another user added.

“Ron Perlman, one of the few celebrities in recent months who has accurately applied the concept of the First Amendment to a political discussion. Love this guy,” activist Charlotte Clymer tweeted.

Florida’s law was signed by DeSantis on Monday.

“In Florida, we not only know that parents have a right to be involved, [but] we insist that parents have a right to be involved,” the Republican governor said at a press conference.
