Reuters reports:
If these detainees are moved to a federal supermax prison, where they would spend at least 23 hours a day in solitary confinement, won’t these same human rights monitors and defense lawyers again complain that they are being driven mad by years of isolation? Most of the detainees are allowed to eat together, pray together, play sports, and study — including classes in Pashto, which should come in handy when they return to the battlefield in Afghanistan. And the treatment seems to be paying dividends:
Four whole days in which the innocent victims of the Bush administration’s misguided and criminal detention policies refrained from attacking U.S. military personnel with feces-based IEDs. Maybe chemistry sets would make their stay more pleasant.
