I‘ll be spending the next few days at Blogger’s Corner at the Conservative Political Action Conference. The first thing that struck me upon entering today was the huge number of Mitt supporters. It seems you can’t walk five feet without bumping into someone wearing a Mitt sticker. There’s also a decent cadre of McCain backers — more than I would have expected. Looking at the assembled faithful, it makes me wish I had invested in the companies that produce these candidate stickers. The main subject of discussion this morning seems to be what sort of reception McCain will get. Will he get booed when he speaks? I don’t expect that (but at least one Mitt backer I’ve spoken to disagrees). Governor Romney will be speaking prior to Senator McCain; he’s likely to ask his backers to give McCain a warm and respectful reception. We’ll see…
