Two Florida women were caught trying to receive their second COVID-19 vaccine while disguised as elderly people, according to a health official.
Dr. Raul Pino, the director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said at a Thursday news conference that the women, aged 34 and 44, wore gloves, bonnets, and glasses as they attempted to get vaccinated “dressed up as grannies.”
Pino said both of the women had already received their first vaccine, although it is unclear how they were able to get their first shot or if they dressed as senior citizens the first time, according to CNN.
Health officials called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the two women were given trespassing warnings after lying about their ages when registering to get the inoculations. People over the age of 65 and healthcare workers are being prioritized in the state to get to vaccines.

“This is the hottest commodity that is out there right now,” Pino said, noting that the department has increased security around the vaccination site. “We have to be very careful with the funds and the resources that we are provided.”
