Kasich annoyed by ‘birther’ questions

Ohio Gov. John Kasich agreed with President Obama that the resurrection of long-debunked claims that he was born outside of the U.S. is a senseless diversion from serious matters.

“I think Bruce Springsteen has to be very happy because ‘Born in the USA’ is probably going to sell a bunch of albums; that’s about as far as I would go,” the former GOP presidential candidate said Friday.

“Am I thinking about it? I’m here for TPP and what’s happening in the world. Not talking about where someone was born,” added Kasich, who was at the White House to promote the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
