‘She’s irreplaceable’: There is ‘no discussion’ at The View about replacing Abby Huntsman

ABC’s The View is not looking to replace Abby Huntsman after she left the show earlier this month to join her father’s campaign.

Current host Sunny Hostin told ET on Monday that there was “no discussion” about adding a fifth host to the lineup. “I mean, first of all, she’s irreplaceable. I think she’s incredible, and I miss her very, very much,” Hostin said. “But, no discussion. I think we have a lot to say, and there are four of us, and now, there’s a little bit more time to say what we’re saying.”

“I think you’re going to be seeing the four of us — and Ana Navarro, of course, on Fridays,” the host said, adding that it “seems like pretty settled.”

Huntsman, 33, lasted less than two years on the show after drama likely convinced her to move on. On her way out, Huntsman reportedly refused to quiet rumors on-air that she was treated “like shit” and that the show had a “toxic culture.”

“She’s felt for a while that things had to change,” an insider of the show said. Some of the toxic culture seemed to follow her even when she left the show, with another insider leaking to the Daily Mail that executives were planning on firing her.
