Fresh off of their summer Tailgate 2008 tour with Slightly Stoopid, surf/rock band Pepper is headlining the Recher Theatre on Saturday with special guests The Supervillains and Passafire.
The Hawaiian trio — vocalist/guitarist Kaleo Wassman, vocalist/bassist Bret Bollinger and drummer Yesod Williams — recently released their fifth studio album, “Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations.” Produced by Sublime producer/Butthole Surfer member Paul Leary, the album features Pepper’s distinct style of surf/rock/reggae, including the catchy new single, “Freeze.”
The band has shared the stage with the likes of 311, Snoop Dogg, Flogging Molly, The Wailers and The Expendables, and have appeared at the Warped Tour four times, most recently as headliners in 2007 alongside Pennywise and Bad Religion. This November, the band will be returning to Europe as main support for ska/rock band Less Than Jake.
The Recher Theatre is located at 512 York Road in Towson. Tickets are $20. Doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.pepperlive.com
