Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions said there is “zero chance” the Senate will convict President Trump while appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
“With the deep knowledge you have of the body, tell us how likely you think it is that if these charges make it to the Senate, the president will be convicted and removed,” host Tucker Carlson asked Sessions.
Sessions, 72, spent decades in Congress as a senator from Alabama and has become one of the president’s unlikeliest supporters after he resigned as Trump’s attorney general in 2018.
“I think there’s zero chance. It’s so easy for Republicans to prove and establish, and they will in their speeches and in the record they produce, that this is not a justifiable impeachment,” Sessions said. “The American people need to fully understand, this is not a justifiable impeachment. Abuse of power because the president made me angry is not a basis for impeachment.”
The president often criticized Sessions on Twitter for his refusal to shut down special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian obstruction in the 2016 presidential election. Trump called Sessions an “idiot,” “disgraceful,” and “beleaguered” before dismissing the veteran lawmaker. Sessions is considered a favorite in his effort to reclaim his former Senate seat, currently occupied by Sen. Doug Jones.
Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!

Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught…..

Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration, right up to January 20th, why aren’t they the subject of the investigation? Why didn’t Obama do something about the meddling? Why aren’t Dem crimes under investigation? Ask Jeff Sessions!
