Hillary Clinton leaves door open to serving in a Biden administration

Hillary Clinton is leaving open the possibility that she would be a part of Joe Biden’s administration if he wins the November election.

Clinton, a former secretary of state, U.S. senator, and first lady who lost the 2016 election to President Trump, was asked by the 19th* if she would take on a role in a possible Biden administration.

“I’m ready to help in any way I can because I think this will be a moment where every American — I don’t care what party you are, I don’t care what age, race, gender, I don’t care — every American should want to fix our country,” Clinton said in response. “So, if you’re asked to serve, you should certainly consider that.”

She also repeated a claim that Trump may not leave the White House willingly if he loses the election.

“I have every reason to believe that Trump is not going to go silently into the night if he loses,” Clinton said. “He’s going to try to confuse us. He’s going to try to bring all kinds of lawsuits.”

The White House and the president’s reelection campaign have downplayed claims that the president wouldn’t accept the results of the election. The president, who has raised concerns about possible voter fraud with widespread use of mail-in ballots during the coronavirus pandemic, himself declined to commit to it during an interview last month.
