Chris Cuomo holds up giant cotton swab on air to poke fun at brother Andrew Cuomo

CNN host Chris Cuomo used large props on air to poke fun at his brother, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

On Wednesday, Chris Cuomo interviewed his brother about his public efforts encouraging people to get tested for the novel coronavirus, playing a clip from a press conference where Gov. Cuomo was tested himself.

“Is it true that when you were having the test administered, you inhaled, and the doctor’s finger went all the way up your nose and got stuck and had to be released with a tool? Is that true?” Cuomo jokingly asked the New York governor.

“She wanted to comment that I have a little button nose, and she was afraid that the swab would actually hurt because it extended my nasal cavity,” Cuomo quipped back to the CNN prime-time host.

Cuomo then pulled large cotton swab props he had on set to mock his brother’s nostril size, prompting laughter from Gov. Cuomo.

“I said I was going to be nice and sweet and cooperative,” said the New York governor before Cuomo interrupted with, “I just want a yes, no!”

“You know, first, I thought I did so well on that nasal test standing up there. She did the swab. I did not flinch. I was a cool dude in a loose mood. Didn’t move anything. I was happy,” said Gov. Cuomo, before the CNN host said, “That swab is like a piece of lint going in that thing in your face.”
