Kennedy Krieger Institute?s winter wonderland

From Friday to Sunday, the Maryland State Fairgrounds will transform into a magical winter wonderland when Kennedy Krieger Institute’s 19th Annual Festival of Trees comes to town. A family tradition since 1990 and the largest holiday event on the East Coast, the Festival will feature more than 500 decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses; miles of toy train tracks; reindeer pony rides on Rudolph, Donner and Blitzen; and a wonderland of holiday shopping.

Proceeds from the event will benefit research, treatment and educational programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

The Festival of Trees will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road in Timonium. Tickets are $5 to $10. For more information, please visit festivaloftrees.kennedykrieger.org.
