Hillary Clinton suggested early Tuesday morning that Michael Flynn’s resignation from the Trump administration makes him the latest victim of “fake news.”
One of Clinton’s former aides, Philippe Reines, tweeted out that “what goes around COMETS [sic] around,” and suggested that Flynn should apply to work at Dominoes “given your pizza obsession.”
That’s a reference to the campaign, when Flynn’s son spread a story that Clinton helped run a prostitution scheme out of a pizza place in Washington. Democrats pounded him for peddling “fake news,” and Clinton said in an early morning tweet of her own that Flynn was a victim of “fake news” of his own making.

Flynn’s resignation came after he initially said he didn’t discuss sanctions against Russia with Russian officials in the days before Trump took office. After reports swirled that he did have detailed talks about sanction with Russian officials, Flynn admitted that he “inadvertently” didn’t reveal enough about his discussions with Vice President Mike Pence.
Justice Department officials had reportedly said Flynn could be open to blackmail by the Russians through his actions.
