Rosie O’Donnell helping Michael Cohen negotiate $10 million ‘tell-all’ book deal

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell is reportedly helping former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen negotiate a “tell-all” book deal.

After Cohen was sent to prison for tax fraud, lying to Congress, and other charges, O’Donnell contacted him in writing about his relationship with Trump. The comedian reportedly visited the medium security prison holding Cohen in Otisville, New York, according to the New York Post.

“Rosie and Michael have bonded over Trump, and she’s helping him with his book, which is now highly critical of the president,” a source familiar with their interaction told the New York Post. Cohen is rumored to be negotiating for a $10 million valuation on his “tell-all” book.

President Trump tweeted about Cohen’s possible book deal in early 2019, saying it only “discredited” him. “Congress must demand the transcript of Michael Cohen’s new book, given to publishers a short time ago. Your heads will spin when you see the lies, misrepresentations and contradictions against his Thursday testimony. Like a different person! He is totally discredited!” the president tweeted.

At the time, Cohen was reportedly writing about his life and the tasks Trump would delegate to him. “No issue was too big, too sticky, or too oddball for me to tackle,” he reportedly wrote. “I saw it all, handled it all, and still do.” The book was intended to counter some of the narratives put forward in Michael Wolff’s exposé Fire and Fury.
