The Rock: The thought of being president is ‘alluring’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” teased Thursday that he may eventually go from Hollywood to politics.

“I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out,” he told British GQ. “I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure.

“I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring,” he added. “And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”

Johnson made a similar comment in March, posting on Instagram that “maybe one day” he will run for president.

He also told Moviefone in 2012 that “one day, and that day will come, I can impact the world through politics.”

The closest Johnson has come to dabbling in politics thus far is appearing multiple times on “Saturday Night Live” as “The Rock Obama,” an angry, Hulk-like version of President Obama who surfaces when lawmakers push his patience levels too far.
