Donald Trump’s campaign manager defended the Republican presidential hopeful on Sunday after he threatened to take legal action against the dozen women who have accused him of sexual assault or harassment.
“He’s just trying to defend himself against false accusers, as he says,” Kellyanne Conway said during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.”
The Trump campaign chief blamed the media for covering the accusations “every single day” despite the GOP nominee’s insistence that the alleged “incidents never happened.”
“[Media outlets] imbue credibility to others automatically,” she claimed.
Trump on Saturday vowed to sue each of his accusers after the Nov. 8 presidential election, telling a crowd in Gettysburg, Pa. that the various women are “trying to poison the mind of the American voter.”
“Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign,” he said during a speech that later focused on what actions he would take during his first 100 days in office. “Total fabrication. The events never happened — never.”
“All of these liars will be sued after the election is over,” Trump told the crowd.
