After three straight against Eastern Conference playoff teams, the Wizards (25-55) finish their road schedule against the Knicks (28-51), who like Washington are positioned for the NBA draft lottery later this spring. According to the Newark Star Ledger, New York leads the NBA with $31.6 million in salary cap space this summer. The Wizards are fourth ($19.5 million), behind the Knicks, New Jersey ($23.4 million) and Miami ($21.3 million).
Andray Blatche is finishing strong for Washington, averaging 27.5 points and 10.0 rebounds his last two games. Shaun Livington, who had a career-high 25 points against Boston on Friday, is averaging 6.6 assists over his last five games. The Wizards also signed former 10-day contract holders Cartier Martin and Cedric Jackson through the end of the season.
